Centre govt has halted Rs 570 crore under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, claims State Govt

Let us tell you that under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, the central government pays this amount to the Punjab government to strengthen the infrastructure of education in the state.

An amount of Rs 570 crore to be given to Punjab under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan by the central government has been stopped. Due to this once again the Punjab government and the central government have come face to face. The central government has stopped this amount saying that the work for which this money comes is not spent as per the rules.

Let us tell you that under the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, the central government pays this amount to the Punjab government to strengthen the infrastructure of education in the state.

In this 40 percent amount is given by the Punjab government while 60 percent amount is given by the central government. Earlier this fund was stopped by the Centre due to which the Punjab government is facing difficulties.

Due to the closure of Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan funds by the Centre, where thousands of employees associated with Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan are facing difficulty in paying salaries, this time the Punjab government has paid more than 40 percent of the salaries from its funds.

Aam Aadmi Party held a press conference against the central government a few days ago. It was said that the public education money is spent on education, books and uniforms of primary school children.

The central government has not released Rs 380 crore of last year. Later, it also refused to release Rs 710 crore for the current financial year. He said that the salaries of 3929 employees of Punjab will be affected under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan. It was also said that the central government has come up with the scheme of PM Sri Naam, due to which it is forcing the Punjab government to close its school of eminence and implement this scheme.
