Amritsar: The Counter Intelligence team, Amritsar has achieved big success as it apprehended two persons involved in trans-border narcotic smuggling. The DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav divulged information about the intelligence-led operation. He shared this information through a post on X.
He said in an intelligence-led operation against trans-border narcotic smuggling networks, Counter Intelligence Amritsar has apprehended two persons. Along with the arrest, Police seized 7.5 Kg Heroin, 16 live cartridges & 1 Motor-Cycle.
It was shared that drones were used to transport drugs from Pakistan-based drug smugglers. Police have lodged FIR under the NDPS Act & Arms Act at SSOC Amritsar. Police investigations is ongoing to establish backward & forward linkages
More information about the arrested accused is awaited.
