Jalandhar: Acting swiftly in an intelligence-based operation, Counter Intelligence averted target killings planned by cross-border operatives. CI Jalandhar arrested one member of the terror module along with a Chinese pistol and cartridges.
The information was shared by Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav through a post on X.
He said that preliminary investigations revealed that the arrested accused is being handled by Pakistan-based operatives. The arrested accused was tasked to carry out target killings in the Jammu and Kashmir region to create fear and unrest.
The post further said that Punjab Police is fully committed to eradicate organised crime and maintain peace & harmony in the state.
Information about the arrested member of terror module is yet awaited.
