CIA staff arrests drug smuggler; seizes One kg heroin, 4 lakh drug money

The CIA staff team of the city police is interrogating the accused about where he got the heroin in large quantities.

Jalandhar: The CIA staff team of Jalandhar City Police has arrested a drug smuggler with one kg of heroin and about 4 lakh drug money. The arrest has been made from the posh area Green Park in Jalandhar, Punjab. The arrested accused has been identified as Chhinda Singh son of Bohar Singh, a resident of village Bhangowala in Ferozepur.

The police have registered a case against the accused under section 21 (C), 61/85 of the NDPS Act. The CIA staff team of the city police is interrogating the accused about where he got the heroin in large quantities.

According to the information received, the CIA staff team had received information that the movement of accused Chhinda Singh was seen at the said place. Based on the information, the police immediately set a trap and raided. When the police arrested the accused by setting a trap, one kg heroin was recovered from him and four lakh cash was also recovered.

The police have started further investigation into the matter. First of all, the CIA staff team registered a case against the accused in Police Station Division Number-6 (Model Town). So that it can be known how much heroin the said accused has sold till now and where he used to supply it.
