According to the information, this morning, the farmers of Bharatiya Kisan Union Ekta Punjab Sidhupur were going to the office of the DC Amritsar to submit a memorandum regarding their demands.

Meanwhile, the police resorted to mild lathicharge and drove them away from there, but after that, hundreds of farmers sat on a dharna near Hartej Hospital. To remove the farmers, the police first warned them and said that according to the Punjab government, blocking roads, staging dharnas and harassing people is illegal, so roads should not be blocked.

Police vehicles are standing to clear the roads, arrests should be made there. Even after this, when the farmers did not move, the police lathi-charged them and removed them from the road.

Before going out to demand compensation for the hailstorm, the farmers said that they were going to the DC in the morning without any noise to present their demands. There was a hailstorm in their village yesterday. compensation for that, work of many farmers came to a standstill during the Corona period, and during that time they were going to give a demand letter regarding attachment due to non-payment of bank loans, but the police lathi-charge them without any reason.

He said that the police put up barricades and stopped them. According to ADCP Harpal Singh, on seeing the police, the farmers ran over two school children in an attempt to drive away their trolleys, due to which they got seriously injured and their scooter also got damaged. A bike rider was also injured. According to the police, the matter is in the High Court and talks were held with the farmers yesterday, but they were still indulging in hooliganism, after which they were removed.

Currently, the police removed the farmers from there and took them away and legal action will be taken against them for injuring the children.
