A case of a fight between two groups over just Rs 500 has come to light. A 19-year-old youth died in this fight while his father was seriously injured. The injured was first taken to the government hospital Kahnuwan for treatment, but seeing his critical condition, the doctors referred him to Civil Hospital Gurdaspur.
Brick blocks were used a lot during this fight between two groups.
It is being told that Ravi Masih, son of Rahul and Rohit Masih, is a drug addict. A few days ago, the deceased youth had stolen wheat from a neighbor’s house along with Rajan Masih’s brother Sajan Masih. This morning there was a dispute over the payment of stolen wheat.
Intolerant people from both sides were hitting each other. This dispute escalated so much that bricks and stones started flying from both sides. This minor quarrel took the life of a 19-year-old youth.
On receiving information in this regard, SHO Sahil Pathania of Kahnawan police station reached the spot and started investigating the dispute and sent the body of the deceased to the government hospital Gurdaspur.
SHO Sahil Pathani said that the accused is still absconding from his house and the police have started efforts to arrest him.
