A class 10 student has died under suspicious circumstances in Ludhiana, Punjab. The body of the minor girl was found hanging from a noose. The reason for the girl’s death is not yet known. On Thursday, the girl returned home after giving her science exam. At around 10 pm, the girl’s body was kept in the mortuary of the civil hospital.
The deceased girl has been identified as 17-year-old Anjali, a resident of Nishant Bagh village Bhattiyan. The police team reached the spot and took Anjali’s body down from the noose and kept it in the mortuary of the civil hospital for postmortem.
According to the information, police investigation has revealed that Anjali is originally a resident of Balua Afghan village in Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh. Two weeks ago, her grandmother died in the village. Due to this, her parents went to the village. According to the police, the elder sister of the deceased Anjali had gone to tuition, and Anjali hanged herself from behind.
When the sister came home from tuition at night, she saw Anjali’s body hanging and raised an alarm. The people of the locality gathered and informed the police. Police from Salem Tabri police station reached the spot. The police took Anjali’s body into custody after taking it down from the noose. Her family members have also been informed. Today, on Friday, after Anjali’s parents arrive, the postmortem will be done and the body will be handed over to them.
