Clear weather in Punjab today, temperature rises; WD to active from tomorrow

Chandigarh: The cold has started to subside in Punjab and the temperature has started to rise again. In the last 24 hours, the minimum temperature of the state has increased by 4.1 degrees. This is 3.3 degrees higher than the average minimum temperature of the state. At the same time, the minimum temperature of most districts of Punjab has been recorded between 7.8 degrees to 12 degrees. However, today (16 February) the weather will be clear. There is no alert of rain or fog. But there is a possibility of a drop in temperature.

There was 97 percent less rainfall in February

According to the Meteorological Department, a new Western Disturbance will be active from tomorrow i.e. 17th February. Its effect will be visible in the weather. Although the temperature will increase by two to four degrees by 19th February. But the maximum and minimum temperature may fall by one to two degrees in 24 hours. On the other hand, the state has received 97 percent less rainfall this month so far. From 1st February to 15th February, 13.7 mm of rain was recorded. Whereas this time 0.4 mm of rain has been recorded.
