Amritsar, Aug 31: 9 districts of Punjab are in the grip of floods. A total of 1018 villages have been affected. People’s houses and fields have been submerged in water. There has been heavy damage to everything from houses to crops. The government, 11 teams of NDRF and army teams in four districts are engaged.
Chandigarh: People in Punjab and Chandigarh will have to face dense fog and rain at some places from today (Wednesday). Western disturbance has become active. Due to this, there is a possibility of rain till January 16. There is a yellow alert of dense fog in the state till January 18. There is no alert.
