Amritsar: No alert of any kind has been issued by the Meteorological Department in Punjab today on Sunday. It is expected that most of the districts will be sunny today. But a new western disturbance is becoming active late in the evening today. Its effect will be seen in the hilly areas as well as Punjab-Haryana. Due to this, a yellow alert has been issued in Punjab regarding rain and storm on March 3.
According to the Meteorological Center, there was a slight drop in temperature due to hailstorm and rain in various areas of Punjab. But after the bright sunshine on Saturday, there was an increase of 3.5 degrees in the temperature and the temperature reached normal. Apart from this, the highest temperature in the state was recorded at 26.8 degrees in Mohali.
It’s going to be hot in March
Even though March started with rain, the Meteorological Department has predicted that the month of March will also be hot. The temperature will remain above normal for the first 15 days of March. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature in Punjab and surrounding states is expected to be 2 to 4 degrees above normal in the first week of March. Whereas, the temperature will remain above normal from 7 to 14 March.

Amritsar- It is expected to be partly cloudy. The temperature may remain between 8 to 20 degrees.
Jalandhar- It is expected to be lightly cloudy. The temperature may remain between 8 to 20 degrees.
Ludhiana- It is expected to be partly cloudy, there is also a possibility of rain. The temperature can remain between 10 to 21 degrees.
Patiala- It is expected to be lightly cloudy, there is also a possibility of rain. The temperature can remain between 11 to 22 degrees.
Mohali- It is expected to be partly cloudy, there is also a possibility of rain. The temperature can remain between 15 to 22 degrees.
