Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann today held an important press conference regarding the ongoing farmers’ agitation at Khanauri and Shambhu border. He said that I want to tell the central government to give up its stubborn attitude, matters are settled by consensus. He said that matters can be only settled by talks on the table. Farmers are citizens of the country. In such a situation, try to settle this matter by initiate a meeting with them.
The CM said that he does not accept the draft of the agricultural market policy. The Punjab government is writing about this and sending it to the central government. We are saying that try it in some other state, if it is successful then let us know. We follow the orders of the Supreme Court. We are serious about Jagjit Singh Dallewal’s health. A team of 50 doctors is deployed on the spot. Also, a temporary hospital has been built within 500 meters of the protest site. He said that if anything happens then it is the responsibility of the BJP government at the Center.
