Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has launched a sharp attack on Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Harjinder Singh Dhami.
He has made an open challenge by declaring Advocate Dhami as a volunteer of Akali Dal. CM Mann questioned SGPC President about whether he would say anything about Akali Leader Harsimrat Badal equating Symbol of Shiromani Akali Dal with Takri (Scale) of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
In a tweet, CM Mann said, “Mr. Harjinder Dhami Ji (SGPC) volunteer of Akali Dal will say something about Maghi Mela and Biba Harsimrat ji calling Akali Dal Badal’s Takri as Baba Nanak’s Takri or it should be considered as yes…defend Akali Dal in front of the media like always and tell Bhagwant Maan not to interfere in religious matters..”
It should be noted that in the Sri Muktsar Sahib during a rally of Shiromani Akali Dal, Member of Parliament from Bathinda Harsimrat Kaur called Scale (Takri), symbol of Akali Dal as the scale (Takri) of Guru Nanak Dev ji. Equation of the symbol with Guru Nanak dev ji symbol led to uproar in the politics of Punjab.
