CM Mann pays tributes to the Martyrdom of ‘Vade Sahibzade’ of Tenth Sikh Guru 

Chandigarh: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann paid tributes to the martyrdom of the Elder Sons of Tenth Sikh Guru Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The martyrdom of Chaar Sahibazade is commemorated every year by the Sikh community.  In a post on X, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said “We pay our respects to martyrdom of all Sikhs.

Chandigarh: Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann paid tributes to the martyrdom of the Elder Sons of Tenth Sikh Guru Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The martyrdom of Chaar Sahibazade is commemorated every year by the Sikh community.  In a post on X, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said “We pay our respects to martyrdom of all Sikhs and Dasam Patshah Ji’s elder sons Sahibzada Baba Ajit Singh ji and Baba Jujhar Singh ji, who were martyred fighting the Mughal army of in the fort of Chamkaur. ”

During the battle of Chamkaur sahib which took place on December 22  the older Sahibzaade, called the ‘Vade Sahibzaade’, attained martyrdom while fighting the powerful   Mughal army comprising of thousands at the young age of 18 and 14 years old respectively. Three Panj Piaras and 40 Sikhs also laid down their lives fighting the 10 lakh-strong Mughal army.
