Hoshiarpur: On the occasion of Bhagat Kabir Jayanti, a state level function was organized in Hoshiarpur on Saturday. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann participated in this function.

Along with paying tribute to Bhagat Kabir, he also gave information about the changes to be made in the education system and the solar plant to be installed on 400 acres in Goindwal Sahib.

CM Mann said that governments sell thermal plants, but we bought it. Its capacity is 540 MW. Bought it for 1080 crores. If it is built, the cost will be more than 5 thousand crores. We took the deal of 5 thousand crores for 1080 crores. But it is a matter of happiness that along with this thermal plant, 400 acres of land has also been received for free. On which the Punjab government will build a solar plant.

There will be changes in the education system

CM Mann said that change in the education system is the need of the hour. He said that we start teaching fee waiver to children in 6th and 7th standard. But now its method will be changed.

In fee waiver, children will now be taught to pay school fees on credit. After studies, school fees will be returned along with interest. CM Mann said that these changes are going to be made in the coming time.

Learning system will be changed

CM Mann said that there is nothing wrong in America and abroad, because children are given a chance to think. There, they ask whether fast food is beneficial or harmful. If someone says it is right, then we have to tell its benefits, if he says it is harmful, then we have to tell the reasons for it being harmful.

Children should be given a chance to use their brains. We follow the guide, whatever is written there is right. Just learn it by rote. Now this will be changed. We are only taught to memorize, copy, and if caught, get a slip. But now this system will be changed.
