By-elections are going to be held soon in the western constituency of Ludhiana. The Election Commission will decide the date in a few days. Earlier, late night, Congress has made a strategy regarding the by-election.
On the orders of the state president-in-charge, Bhupesh Baghel, state president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and Leader of Opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa, Rana Gurjit Singh, and Sham Sundar Arora have been appointed members of the two-member committee. Congress will contest the by-election under the supervision of these two leaders.
Congress has fielded former Cabinet Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu from this seat. Aam Aadmi Party has given a ticket to Rajya Sabha member Sanjeev Arora. BJP and Akali Dal are still far behind in announcing the candidates.
Earlier, the BJP appointed former MP Avinash Khanna as in-charge of the by-election and Vijay Sampla as co-in-charge. BJP will contest the election under the supervision of these two leaders.
