Congress Ludhiana debacle: After Bharat Bhushan Pargat Singh and Kikki Dhillon tender resignation

According to the information, Kikki Dhillon is currently in Australia, while Pargat Singh is in Jalandhar itself.

Following Bharat Bhushan Ashu’s resignation after the defeat in the Ludhiana by-election, MLAs Pargat Singh and Kushaldeep Kikki Dhillon have also tendered their resignations. Pargat Singh and Kikki Dhillon have resigned from their posts as Vice President of the Punjab Congress. Taking responsibility for Bharat Bhushan Ashu’s defeat during the Ludhiana by-election, they have sent their resignation to the party high command. Earlier, Bharat Bhushan Ashu had resigned from the post of Working President of the Punjab Congress.

Both the leaders have sent their resignations to the Congress high command. According to the information, Kikki Dhillon is currently in Australia, while Pargat Singh is in Jalandhar itself.

He sent his resignation to Congress National General Secretary KC Venugopal on Tuesday night. This is the first time since 2022 that the party leaders are openly stood against each other.

Resignation given in favor of Ashu on Ludhiana election defeat

According to sources, MLA Pargat Singh and former MLA Kikki Dhillon have accepted this resignation in view of the defeat in the Ludhiana elections. Both have taken this decision in favor of Ashu. Let us tell you that after the defeat in the by-election, Bharat Bhushan Ashu, who was the Congress candidate, had expressed his displeasure in a low voice with Punjab Congress chief Raja Warring.

Let us tell you that before this, immediately after losing the election, Bharat Bhushan Ashu had also resigned from his post. After which Ashu had commented on Simarjit Singh Bains and Punjab chief Raja Warring. He also said that I take responsibility for the defeat in the Ludhiana elections.
