Farmers protest in Amritsar over Honor for officers linked to torture during movement

Farmer leaders are also appealing to the opposition leaders to raise their voices in the Parliament against the felicitation ceremony.

Amritsar: Despite the continuous heavy rain in Amritsar since this morning, the anger of farmer leaders against the government continues. The fury march that started from Company Bagh will end at Rani Ka Bagh, where the effigy of the central and Haryana governments will be burned. An appeal is also being made to the opposition to cancel this felicitation ceremony.

The Haryana government is honouring six police officers who tortured the farmers during the farmers’ movement, against which farmers are taking out a march across the country today on August 1. United Kisan Morcha leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said that farmer Shubhkaran had died and a large number of farmers were injured during the atrocities of the Haryana government on the Shambhu border. The Haryana government is going to honour such police personnel. Against this, farmers will protest against the central government across the country on August 15.

The anger of the farmers against the central and Haryana governments is coming out in the form of anger. It is raining continuously, and farmers are taking out fury marches on the roads. In the protest march carried out on bikes and vehicles, slogans are being raised continuously against the Central and Haryana governments.

Farmer leaders are also appealing to the opposition leaders to raise their voices in the Parliament against the felicitation ceremony being organized by the Haryana and Central governments and get this ceremony cancelled.
