The arrested accused have been identified as Rajan @ Raja, Paramjit Singh @ Pamma and Dinesh Kumar @ Nishu all residents of Amritsar. On the other hand recoveries made by Police include Two Pistol Glock 19X (Made in Austria), Two Pistol Cal 30 Bore (Made in Italy, Baretta USA), One Pistol 30 Bore Star Mark and One Baretta Gardone VT (Made in Italy) APX Baretta 30 Bore.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Kingpin Jugraj Singh, currently lodged in Goindwal Jail, operated the racket through his advocate’s Munshi.
An FIR has been filed under the Arms Act at PS ANTF, SAS Nagar. Further investigation is underway to uncover the full extent of the network.
DGP Yadav assured that Punjab Police remains firmly committed to dismantling illegal arms smuggling operations and ensuring the safety and security of #Punjab.
