Khanauri Border: Today marks 50 days of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal’s fast unto death on the Khanauri border of Punjab-Haryana. According to doctors, his health is deteriorating every moment. He is having trouble speaking. However, Dallewal has made it clear that he will not take medical facilities until the central government talks to him.
A temporary hospital, a team of doctors and other arrangements have been completed by the Punjab government at a distance of 500 meters from the front. At the same time, the meeting of the United Kisan Morcha non-political has started on the Khanauri front. In this meeting, a strategy is being prepared to take the movement forward. On the other hand, a group of farmers from Kaithal district of Haryana will reach the Khanauri border.
Along with the ongoing struggle on the Shambhu and Khanauri fronts, the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha will also be seen in the coming days. On Monday (January 13), a meeting of the leaders of the three fronts was held in Pattran, Patiala. Another meeting will be held again in Pattran on January 18. In this, a strategy will be made for the tractor march to be held on 26 January.
Bhartiya Kisan Union (Ugrahan) Joginder Singh Ugrahan said- “The meeting was held in a good atmosphere. The front also thinks that all the parties will have to unite. The front cannot be won without the support of the public. Today again it has been decided that no one will make statements against each other. Our enemy is also common and the struggle is also common. The meeting will be held at the same place on 18 January as well.”
BKU (Krantikari) leader Surjeet Singh Phool said- “The biggest output of this meeting is that this meeting has been held for unity. It has been decided to form a coordination group. This will be stamped in the meeting to be held on 18 January. After this, a strategy will be made for the tractor march to be held on 26 January.”
