SAS Nagar: To implement the ECI’s directive that No Voter Left Behind, the Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Electoral Officer Aashika Jain has exhorted all the residents who have not enrolled as voters yet to come forward and apply online or offline for enrollment as voters. The last date for registration of new voters is May 04, 2024, she added.
Divulging details, the Deputy Commissioner said that anybody going to attain the age of 18 or above as on April 01, 2024, is eligible to become a voter for the ensuing Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
She further said that residents can take the help of online voter service portal and voter helpline mobile app to access various services including submitting applications for registering as a new voter.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that by logging on to the Voter Service portal (https://voters.eci.gov.in ), a user can avail and access various services such as accessing the electoral list, applying for a voter ID card, applying online for corrections in voter’s card, viewing details of Polling Booth, Assembly Constituency and Parliamentary Constituency and get the contact details of Booth Level Officer, Electoral Registration Officer among other services.
Similarly, Voter Helpline Mobile App (VHA) helps Citizens to avail and access various services such as applying for a voter ID card, applying online for corrections to the voter’s card, viewing details of the Polling Booth, Assembly Constituency, and Parliamentary Constituency, and get the contact details of the Booth Level Officer, Electoral Registration Officer among other services.
The mobile app is available on the Google Play store and Apple App Store.
Mrs Jain urged the citizens of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar to contact their nearest SDM-cum-Assistant Returning Officers’ offices located at Kharar, Mohali and Derabassi for election-related queries and services besides accessing the online portal and mobile app. Apart from that a toll-free number 1950 can also be dialed for any election-related query.
