As soon as the rainy season comes, the risk of diseases such as dengue and malaria also starts to increase. But this year the health department seems to be succeeding to a large extent in controlling dengue.
So far only 34 cases of dengue have been reported in Ludhiana. Two of these patients are under treatment in the hospital and their condition is good and most of the positive dengue patients are from outside districts. Ludhiana Civil Surgeon Dr. Jasbir Singh Aulakh has shared this information.
He said that the way it is raining, there is no need to keep water stranded in the house or surroundings because dengue larvae would hatch in it.
Administration and Health officials teams have been making people aware of Dengue and Malaria and about how it is hatched. The Punjab state government has also run a program in which surroundings should be cleaned every Friday to fight against dengue.
