Amritsar: An unfortunate incident took place in Guru Ramdas Langar Ghar at Sachkhand Sri Harimandar Sahib. As per reports a devotee who was serving in the kitchen of Langar Hall accidentally fell after he slipped in a “karahya” (cauldron). The said devotee has suffered more than 70% burn injuries. As soon as the people get to know, he was rushed to hospital.
The injured devotee who was serving in the kitchen has been identified as Balbir Singh. He is a resident of Dhaliwal (Gurdaspur).
The devotee was preparing curry (a potato sabzi) for the langa in the cauldron. The person accidentally slipped and couldn’t maintain the balance and fell into the cauldron. The incident took place at 12.30 pm.
It has been known that Balbir Singh, has been serving in the making of Langar for the last 10 years. Currently, the person has been admitted to a private hospital in Amritsar where he is undergoing treatment.
