DM Rajnath Singh raises Khalistan issue with US Director of National Intelligence; demands ban on SFJ Group

India's Defence Minister has called on the United States to designate the Khalistani terror group, Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), led by Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, as a terror organization.

New Delhi: India’s Defence Minister has called on the United States to designate the Khalistani terror group, Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), led by Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, as a terror organization. The request was made during a meeting with US Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard.

Sikhs for Justice is already a banned terror group in India under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) due to its involvement in promoting separatism and violent activities in the country The Indian government has been actively seeking international support to curb the operations of the group, which continues to advocate for an independent Khalistan.

According to reports, India raised the issue of anti-India activities conducted by the Khalistani organisation SFJ (Sikh For Justice) in America. India also expressed its concerns and asked the US Admin to take strong action against the unlawful organisation. This appeal highlights India’s ongoing efforts to conteract the influence of SFJ and prevent the spread of its radical ideology.
