New Delhi : The process of changing parties of leaders continues in Punjab before Lok Sabha Elections. On Tuesday, Congress Ludhiana MP Ravneet Singh Bittu joined BJP and today the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has suffered a big blow.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) dealt a double blow to Punjab AAP joins Jalandhar MP Sushil Kumar Rinku and Jalandhar West MLA Sheetal Angural .
Both joined party at BJP headquarters at New Delhi. Union Minister Hardeep Puri and BJP Punjab President Sunil Jakhar welcomed both in Saffron party. Sunil Jakhar, welcoming Sushil Kumar Rinku, said that we were both together in Congress party and he has taken a longer route to came in BJP. He also criticized AAP for not fulfilling their promises in Punjab.
After joining BJP, Sushil Kumar Rinku stated that he could not fulfill the promises made during the by-polls elections due to the AAP government. However, he hopes to fulfill those promises now that he is with the BJP, and is optimistic for future elections.

Two big leaders of AAP have decided to join the country’s ruling party at a time when Aam Aadmi Party’s national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has been arrested by ED in the Liquorgate policy case and he is on remand for six days. There are 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab where AAP and Congress have decided to contest elections separately. AAP has so far fielded candidates on 8 seats, in which Rinku’s name is also included.
