Dr. Ravi Bhagat takes charge as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Punjab

Chandigarh: IAS officer Dr. Ravi Bhagat today took charge as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister of Punjab in the presence of senior officers of the state government at his office.

A 2006 batch IAS officer, Dr. Ravi Bhagat is always ready to implement innovative ideas to provide citizen-centric services to the common people. He is known for his proactive and responsive approach towards public services.

A doctorate in ‘MSP of Geopolitics’, Dr. Ravi Bhagat made a brilliant start to his administrative services as Sub Divisional Magistrate Malout in 2008-2009, after which he served as Deputy Commissioner in Faridkot, Amritsar and Ludhiana. He served as Chief Administrator of Punjab Urban Development Authority and GMADA, Secretary Mandi Board, CEO e-Governance, Director Information and Public Relations, Secretary New and Renewable Energy Sources.

Dr. Ravi Bhagat has been performing his services smoothly and effectively as Special Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister since 2021. This officer is credited with implementing many innovative and innovative innovations in the fields of health, education, social security and governance. Dr. Ravi Bhagat’s unique initiatives to facilitate the people by streamlining public services during the challenging times of the Covid-19 pandemic were appreciated by everyone.

Presiding over the meeting after assuming office in his office today, the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister said that the implementation of the people-friendly and development-oriented policies of the state government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann would be his top priority.
