In a series of dramatic turn of events, SAD candidate Surjit Kaur who joined Aam Aadmi Party yesterday morning returned back to SAD by evening. She said that she’ll contest election on SAD’s ticket.
Akali Dal rebel group leader Bibi Jagir Kaur and Gurpratap Singh Wadala did Surjit Kaur’s re-joining.
Surjit Kaur suddenly joined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday afternoon. She took this decision after meeting CM Bhagwant Mann. After which the CM welcomed her into the party at his house in Jalandhar.
After getting Surjit Kaur to join, CM Mann said that hewould give good responsibility to Behenji (Surjit Kaur) in the government. At whatever level, we will give place to Surjit Kaur in the government.
Surjit Kaur had also filed a nomination as a candidate of Shiromani Akali Dal headed by Sukhbir Badal. Voting is to be held on July 10 on Jalandhar seat. The Aam Aadmi Party has fielded Mohinder Bhagat, son of former BJP minister Chunni Lal Bhagat, from here.
