In joint operation BSF troops and Punjab Police recovers Drone and Heroin

The drone has been seized, and the matter is being investigated.

Gurdaspur: A drone was recovered from a farm in village Agwan near the Indo-Pak border under the Kalanaur police station area in Gurdaspur, Punjab, this morning. The farm from which the drone was recovered is owned by Baldev Singh, son of Karam Singh, a farmer of the same village, and he has given the farm on contract to another farmer, Sukhwinder Singh of the same village, for farming. After this, during the search operation conducted till late evening, the police recovered a yellow packet, inside which 2.26 kg heroin was recovered.

On Thursday morning at around 9 am, farmer Sukhwinder Singh went to the fields as usual, then he saw a drone lying there in the field. After which the matter was informed to Kalanaur police station. Police reached the spot and are taking further action.

Police told me that on the farm from where the drone was recovered, crops have been sown in that field, and it is filled with water. The black drone was found lying in the water accumulated in the field. The drone has been seized, and the matter is being investigated.

After this, BSF and Punjab Police personnel conducted a search operation in the surrounding fields, and 2.26 kg of heroin was recovered from the field of farmer Paramjit Singh, located some distance from the place where the drone was found. The heroin was packed in a yellow packet. It has been seized by BSF and Punjab Police.
