Encounter between police and miscreants in Ludhiana; 3 arrested with 2 pistols

The miscreants had an encounter with the police.

In Ludhiana, at around 12:30 in the night, the police of Thana Division Number 6 and the team of CIA staff encountered 3 miscreants on Dhandra Road. The miscreants had an encounter with the police.

First the miscreants fired at the police, after which in retaliation, the police shot the miscreants in the thigh and caught them. The police have also recovered 2 illegal pistols from the miscreants.

The miscreants injured by the bullet were admitted to the hospital late at night. The injured miscreants have been identified as Ankush (23), Mudit (24) and Abhijeet Mand (24). The police will also hold a press conference in this matter today.

What’s the matter?

Let us tell you that one of these three miscreants had threatened the travel agent by calling himself gangster Prabh Dasuwal. Prabh Dasuwal currently lives in America. The miscreants had demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh from the travel agent. Division Number 6 Police has registered an FIR against the unknown accused and started an investigation.

The rogue caller told the travel agent that he knew his family members and their daily routine, including where they park their vehicles. The caller asked him to deliver the extortion money to Tarn Taran. The travel agent does business on Gill Road.

On March 16, he received a WhatsApp message from an unknown number. Later, he received a call again from the same number. The caller introduced himself as gangster Prabh Dasuwal living in America and demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh.

The rogues told him that they knew very well that he works for visas for Dubai and Saudi Arabia and where he parks his vehicle during the day. The caller threatened to harm his family members if he did not pay the money. The caller also asked him to come to Tarn Taran with the money.

SHO Kulwant Kaur of Thana Division Number 6 said that an FIR has been lodged against unknown accused under sections 351 (2) (criminal intimidation), 308 (2) (extortion) and 62 (attempt to commit offence) of the BNS. Police are investigating to trace the caller.
