Encounter in Sri Muktsar Sahib, 3 accused arrested

Muktsar Sahib: An encounter took place late at night in village Lubaniawali of Sri Muktsar Sahib. The police arrested 3 accused who were demanding a ransom of one crore. Muktsar Sahib: An encounter took place late at night in village Lubaniawali of Sri Muktsar Sahib. The police arrested 3 accused who were demanding a ransom of one crore. According to the information received from the police, a ransom of one crore rupees was demanded from the contractor of a mill located in village Rupana near Sri Muktsar Sahib over the phone. The ransom seekers identified themselves as belonging to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

When the contractor informed the police in this regard, the police made a plan to arrest the said persons. A deal was reached with the ransom seekers for 15 lakh rupees. The ransom seekers called the plaintiff to village Lubaniawali for money, and as per the previously made plan, the police party reached with the plaintiff’s accomplice.

These three men came on a motorcycle to take money. When they found out that the police had surrounded them after taking the money, one of them opened fire on the police. In retaliation, the police party opened fire and one of their accomplices, Sukhmander Singh, was hit by the bullet and fell down. The police took immediate action and caught the other two accomplices of Sukhmander Singh, Lakhvir Singh and Sarwan Singh, who were trying to escape, on the spot. The injured were sent to the government hospital for treatment. After the encounter, SSP Tushar Gupta reached the spot.
