The police officer present at the spot said that this morning they received information that some criminals were coming from Amritsar rural towards Tarn Taran with weapons. Along with this, it was also told that they had supplied weapons earlier and are going to supply weapons today too. The police said that the names of the two criminals are Sukhdev Singh and Sarban Kumar. Seeing two criminals coming from the front, the police signaled them to stop. Both had two weapons each.

Seeing the police, the criminals started firing at them with their weapons. Police said that the miscreants fired three rounds, and the police fired two rounds. During this, a criminal named Sukhdev Singh was injured by a police bullet. The police have admitted the injured criminal to the hospital for treatment and further investigation is underway. It is being told that both of them have links with Pakistan.
