Ludhiana: Police of Basti Jodhewal police station of Ludhiana, Punjab arrested a person named Anmol Sidhu two days ago. Anmol used to extort huge amounts of money from medical, lottery and gas dealers by impersonating himself as a sub-inspector. It has been revealed in this case that Anmol had bought the uniform of a sub-inspector from the shops outside the police line under the nose of the police.

On the basis of Anmol’s information, the police will take action against the shopkeeper today. The shopkeeper gave the uniform to the accused without any investigation. Today the police will also take strict action against the shop from where he got the ID card printed and typed.

Giving information, SHO Jodhewal Basti Gurdayal Singh said that Anmol has been interrogated in which he made many revealations. Investigation is also being done from the accused’s mobile.
