Farm Leader Balbir Singh Rajewal addresses press conference, emphasizes Punjab has no water to share

Chandigarh: Senior Farm Union leader and Sanyukt Samaj Morcha Party President Balbir Singh Rajewal held a press conference today here in Chandigarh and said that the union will be launching a front on issues pertaining to farmers in Chandigarh. The front which will raise issues of water and Farmer’s debt in Punjab will be launched.

Chandigarh: Senior Farm Union leader and Sanyukt Samaj Morcha Party President Balbir Singh Rajewal held a press conference today here in Chandigarh and said that the union will be launching a front on issues pertaining to farmers in Chandigarh. The front which will raise issues of water and Farmer’s debt in Punjab will be launched on January 18th. Rajewal also warned Chandigarh administration to provide them space by January 6 otherwise a demonstration would be held against them too.

A meeting on the issue of SYL with Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat with Chief Ministers from will be held on December 28. Rajewal in his address opposed the meeting while saying that meeting is happening at that time when people of the state are observing the martyrdom day of ‘Chaar Sahibzaade’.

He emphasized on the fact that Punjab has no water to share. Punjab receives water from all three rivers and efforts will be done to save Punjab.
