Farmer electrocuted to death in Fazilka

The family members have demanded financial help from the government.

Fazilka: A farmer who went to water the vegetable crop in Tahliwala village of Fazilka died due to electrocution. The body of the Farmer has been sent for post-mortem by the police to the government hospital. The deceased is survived by two children. The family members have demanded financial help from the government.

The deceased farmer has been identified as Gurmukh Singh. The deceased’s uncle Mahinder Singh, who reached the government hospital with the body, said that late in the evening, 28-year-old Gurmukh Singh had gone to irrigate the vegetable crop in his field in village Gahlewala. As soon as the tube well was switched on for water supply, a high voltage current started flowing from it and Gurmukh died due to electrocution.

The deceased was married and had two children, at present the family members are demanding financial help from the administration for the family of the deceased farmer.

On the other hand, Gyan Singh said that the deceased farmer Gurmukh Singh had about one and a half acres of land, where Gurmukh Singh used to farm, due to this sudden incident there is a wave of grief in the village, the matter has reached the police, so the police are investigating the matter.
