A farmer swallowed sulphas during the ongoing agitation at Shambhu border. Farmer Resham Singh is a resident of Pahuwind in Tarn Taran district. Farmer leader Tejbir Singh said that Resham Singh was angry that the government did not find a solution to this despite the agitation at Shambhu and Khanauri border for 11 months. At present, his condition remains critical. He has been admitted to Rajindra Hospital in Patiala.
Farmers say that the farmer has consumed sulphas near the langar site in the morning. As soon as the farmers came to know about this, he was immediately given first aid on the spot. After this, they immediately left for the hospital with him.
Earlier also on 14 December, farmer Ranjodh Singh had swallowed sulphas. He was angry that he was not allowed to march to Delhi that day. About 4 days later, he died in Rajindra Hospital in Patiala.
On the other hand, the condition of farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who is on a hunger strike at Khanauri border, is critical. Today is the 45th day of his hunger strike. Dallewal’s blood pressure (BP) is continuously falling. In such a situation, he will not meet anyone now.
Issuing Dallewal’s medical bulletin on Wednesday, doctors said that if his legs are made equal to other parts of the body, then his blood pressure decreases significantly. To stabilize the blood pressure a little, his legs have to be kept at a height. He is also having difficulty speaking. He remained in his trolley the whole day on Wednesday.
SP MPs reached to meet Dallewal
At the same time, the movement has been supported by the Samajwadi Party. The party’s MP from Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh and National General Secretary Harendra Malik met Dallewal on Wednesday. During this, he made the farmers talk to the party supremo Akhilesh Yadav on the phone. Akhilesh has assured them that he will talk to all political parties and try that all political parties forget their differences and unite on the issue of MSP guarantee law, so that farmer suicides can be stopped.
Farmer leader said- Why doesn’t the Agriculture Minister talk to Dallewal?
Farmer leader Abhimanyu Kohad said that our country’s Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan holds a meeting with the farmers of Delhi and says that you are not getting the benefits of our schemes, so he is sad, but on the other hand he is not seeing the struggle of the farmers sitting on the streets since 13 February 2024 and Dallewal who is on a hunger strike.
He said that according to the Agricultural Census 2016, there were 21000 farmers in Delhi, whose number has decreased in the last 8 years. In view of the deteriorating condition of Dallewal, the central government should take it seriously and solve the problems of the farmers.
What is the strategy of the farmers ahead…
