Farmers reject the decision of central govt to increase MSP on 14 crops; meeting of both forums today in Chandigarh

Sarwan Singh Pandher said that the protest will continue till the demands are met.

Chandigarh: Protesting Farmers have refused to accept the decision of the Central Government to increase the Minimum Selling Price (MSP) on 14 crops. After the announcement of increasing the MSP of crops by the Center, the farmers have called a press conference in Chandigarh Kisan Bhawan today. At the same time, it has been announced that the protest will continue until the demands are not met.

Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher who has been leading the protest said that MSP has been increased on 14 crops yesterday but the biggest issue is to get the purchase done on that increased MSP.

He added that for this, farmers are demanding a legal guarantee law. There was an increase of Rs 117 on the purchase of paddy, will the farmer be able to manage with this? We are inviting a discussion on what is our cost and expenditure.

Pandher also targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over NEET irregularities. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi goes to Nalanda University and shows dreams but on the other hand, there is rigging in the NEET exam. He added that 24 lakh students and their parents are being thrown into the dark.

The protest will continue till the demands are met

Sarwan Singh Pandher said that the protest will continue till the demands are met. Today at 12 noon, both the forums Kisan Sanyukt Morcha (non-political) and Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee will discuss this in Kisan Bhawan and will also present their next programs in front of the press.

Trains will not stop today, conspiracy to defame

Pandher clearly debunked the news of blockade of railway tracks. He said that trains will not be stopped by any farmer today. These rumors are being spread by the central agencies to defame the farmer organizations. The next programs of the farmers will be announced in the press conference today.
