Farmers to gherao residences of BJP leaders today

Chandigarh: Farmer organizations of Punjab will hold dharna (Protest) today outside the houses of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates of all 13 constituencies of Punjab.

Senior leader leading Kisan Andolan-2 and member of Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee, Sarwan Singh Pandher informed that at around 12 o’clock the farmers will march towards the houses of BJP candidates. Farmers will come to protest outside the BJP offices for the candidates who are not contesting elections in their respective districts.

Pandher also mentioned that BJP candidates are calling farmers shameless. Not only this, Faridkot’s BJP candidate Hans Raj Hans talked about taking a look after June 2, while Ludhiana’s Ravneet Bittu has used abusive words for the farmers, now the farmers will answer to this by sitting outside their houses.

Farmers movement is going on since 13th February

Farmers have been sitting at the Shambhu and Khinauri border since 13th February regarding many important issues including MSP, Swaminathan report. During this time, a farmer, Shubhakaran, was shot dead, while on the other hand, a farmer was picked up and beaten so much that he suffered multiple fractures in his body.

Now that two days have passed since Kisan Andolan 2 started, farmers have changed their methods of protest. Under which farmers will protest outside the houses of BJP leaders today.
