Fatehgarh: 3 Youths injured after indiscriminate firing

Those who were shot in the thigh have been sent to Guru Nanak Dev Hospital, Amritsar for treatment.

Fatehgarh: Shocking news has come to light that 3 people were seriously injured due to indiscriminate firing in village Awan, 4 km from Fatehgarh Churian. Lovejot Singh (22 years), Gurpreet Singh (21 years) and Kuldeep Singh (55 years) were injured due to the firing and were admitted to the government hospital in Fatehgarh Churian. After first aid, the doctors referred them to Amritsar.

In this regard, the injured Gurpreet Singh Lovejot Singh and the injured Kuldeep Singh son of Rajbir Singh said that we were standing outside our house when the village sarpanch Mana, his brother, a former police officer and their associates came armed with weapons on a road in the village and as soon as they arrived, they opened fire on us indiscriminately, due to which 3 of us got injuries in the back of our bodies.

In this regard, the doctor on duty at Fatehgarh Churian, Rishabh, said that 3 people have come from village Awan. Those who were shot in the thigh have been sent to Guru Nanak Dev Hospital, Amritsar for treatment.

As soon as the information about the incident was received, Fatehgarh Churian SHO Kirandeep Singh reached the spot and while talking, the SHO said that 3 people were injured in the shooting in village Awan and an investigation has been started into the incident.
