Ludhiana: In a tragic incident, a father and daughter died in a road accident on Sultanpur Amritsar Highway in Punjab. A speeding car collided with a bike, and the collision’s severity can be understood by the fact that the bike fell about 15 meters away from the spot. The accident was so horrific that the person driving the bike died on the spot while three members of his family got seriously injured.
What is more unfortunate is that for 4 hours, the relatives and people kept roaming in different hospitals with the injured but no one treated them properly. By the time the injured were brought to Ludhiana Civil Hospital, the 6-year-old girl had also died. The name of the deceased are Sandeep and his 6-year-old daughter Kohinoor. Kohinoor studied in 1st UKG class. Sandeep’s wife Gagan and 10-year-old daughter Arleen are fighting a battle of life and death. The deceased Sandeep is a resident of the village of Lohara. Sandeep was the only breadwinner of the family.
According to the information, Sandeep stayed with his sister in Nakodar for the last two-three days along with his wife and two daughters. Today he had gone to his maternal grandmother’s house in Sultanpur Lodhi from his sister’s house with his brother-in-law’s motorcycle. From there he was going to Amritsar. On Sultanpur Amritsar Highway, a speeding Etios car driver hit his bike. Sandeep, soaked in blood, died on the spot. A crowd of people immediately informed the police.
The car driver immediately fled from the spot. Police of Sultanpur Lodhi police station reached the spot took both vehicles into custody and started the process of registering a case.
