Fazilka: Calling it biggest opium recovery of the decade, DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav said that Fazilka police have busted interstate opium smuggling syndicate.
Fazilka police busts one of the biggest Interstate Opium smuggling syndicate operating from Jharkhand with the arrest of big fish. Police effectively seized 66 Kg Opium and meticulously followed up financial trail which led to freezing of ₹1.86 crore in 42 bank accounts.
As per the police, 2 smugglers have also been arrested. Further investigations are ongoing for forward & backward linkages
