The official said that after receiving information about the presence of suspicious objects, BSF personnel launched a search operation.

Ferozepur: A packet containing a pistol and a magazine dropped by a Pakistani drone was recovered from a field near the Indo-Pak border in Punjab’s Ferozepur district on Sunday, a Border Security Force (BSF) official said.

The official said that after receiving information about the presence of suspicious objects, BSF personnel launched a search operation.

“During the search operation around 9 am, BSF personnel recovered two packets from a field near Tendi Wala village in Ferozepur district,” he said.

“One packet contained a Glock pistol with a magazine, while the other contained suspected heroin (548 grams),” the official said. Both the packets, wrapped in yellow adhesive tape and tied with iron hooks, may have been dropped by a drone.

Earlier on January 8, the BSF recovered a packet containing a Glock pistol from a field near the India-Pakistan border in Amritsar district.
