Earlier, the story of this family injured in the border area had come to light. The family from Ferozepur alleges that when they did not get treatment in the government hospital, they went to a private hospital, where, even in a war-like situation, money was taken from them in advance before treatment.

Money was collected from relatives and given to the hospital, then treatment

The family collected 40 thousand rupees from relatives and gave it to the hospital. After this, they got treatment. However, the minister present on the spot assured the family to return the money. The doctor of the hospital also said that the money will be returned, but the family has not received the money yet. Ferozepur CMO Rajwinder Kaur says that an answer will be sought from the hospital regarding this.

Read the whole matter in a systematic manner…

First, know about the accident…

  • Pakistani drone fell on a house on 9 May: After Operation Sindoor by India on 7 May, Pakistan opened fire on the border and attacked with drones and missiles. During this time, a Pakistani drone fell on a house in Khai Fame village of Firozpur district bordering Pakistan in Punjab.
  • There was a hole in the roof of the house, fire broke out: This house belonged to Lakhwinder Singh. Due to the falling of the drone, a hole was created in the roof of the house. After this, the drone fell on the car, which caused a fire. In this, Lakhwinder Singh, his wife Sukhwinder Kaur and son Sonu got badly burnt.
  • No treatment was available in the government hospital: In the accident, the animals standing in the courtyard also caught fire. After this, the neighbours took the injured to the civil hospital with the help of an ambulance. However, there was no burn unit there, so the injured were taken to Anil Bagi Hospital.
  • Private hospital asked for money in advance: Here the doctor asked for a deposit of Rs 40,000 before treating the injured. Treatment of family members was necessary, so the relatives collected money by asking relatives and gave it to the hospital.

Even on the minister’s orders, the money was not returned

On May 10, the next day of the drone accident, Punjab Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khundiya reached Bagi Hospital Ferozepur to know the condition of the injured family and met them. The injured couple was not in a condition to speak yet. The minister met the son Sonu and took information about the entire incident.

Minister Khundiya said, “The injured are being admitted to DMC Ludhiana for better treatment. The government will bear the entire cost of treatment.” After this, the minister was asked whether the hospital administration had taken advance payment from the injured before treatment, then the minister told Dr. Kamal Bagi standing next to him to return the payment.

The doctor agreed that the payment will be refunded. But till now the money of the injured has not been refunded to their families. Uncle Jogendra Singh, a member of the injured family, said that the hospital administration has not given us any payment yet, whereas the minister had said that the money will be refunded.

Ferozepur MP said- this should not have happened

Punjab’s Ferozepur MP Sher Singh Ghumma said that “what happened is sad. I went to the victim’s family’s house and also took stock of the situation. The car was completely burnt. When I went to the hospital and enquired, the doctor said that the couple has suffered more than 75 percent burns and they have been referred to Ludhiana.

The administration should have noticed that private doctors take money. When the administration knew that all this happened because of Pakistan, it should have taken everything in its own hands. The administration arrived the next day. If a private doctor treats, he will take money. The administration does not know what is happening in the district. How will the country and Punjab run with such an administration and government?
