Ludhiana: A fight broke out between two parties during a wedding function in Ishwar Colony of Ludhiana, Punjab. After the fight, youths from one side opened fire on the other. A youth was injured in the gunshot fired. He was immediately taken to the Civil Hospital where he was admitted due to a bullet wound in the hand.
The injured youth has been identified as 26-year-old Balwinder Singh, a resident of Guru Angad Colony. During treatment at the hospital, Balwinder Singh said that he works as a carpenter. He had gone to attend a Pre-wedding function being held at the house of a friend of his. There he got into a fight with two other youths who had come to the function over some issue.
After the fight, one of the said youths opened fire on him. Balwinder Singh was seriously injured in the attack and fell there. After the firing, a stampede broke out at the function. People who came to the function immediately took the injured youth to the Civil Hospital. There he was admitted and the matter was reported to the Shimlapuri police station. Currently, the police have started investigating the case.
