Finance Minister Harpal Cheema hands over appointment letters to 13 section officers

Chandigarh: Punjab Finance, Planning, Excise and Taxation Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema   at the Finance and Planning Bhawan here today handed over appointment letters to 13 section officers who passed the examination. Chandigarh: Punjab Finance, Planning, Excise and Taxation Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema   at the Finance and Planning Bhawan here today handed over appointment letters to 13 section officers who passed the examination.

On this occasion, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that under the mission started by the Punjab Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to provide maximum employment opportunities to the youth, 52 new sections have been created by the Punjab Public Service Commission through direct recruitment. The recruitment process of 53 candidates for the post of Assistant Treasurer by the Officers and Subordinate Services Selection Board, Punjab is almost complete and appointment letters will be handed over to the candidates soon.

Reiterating the Punjab Government’s commitment towards sound financial management and thorough monitoring of the expenditure of the welfare schemes run by the Government, the Finance Minister said that these appointments will help in bringing more transparency in the functioning and preventing leakage of funds.

On this occasion, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema congratulated the newly appointed section officers and inspired them to do their work with complete honesty and dedication. Meanwhile, Principal Secretary Finance Ajoy Kumar Sinha inspired them to keep updating their skills and abilities to meet the emerging challenges.
