Fire at sports goods warehouse in Jalandhar, goods burnt to ashes

Due to the leather goods, the fire kept spreading and all the goods were burnt to ashes.

A fire broke out in the warehouse of sports goods of a leather factory in Dilbagh Nagar in Basti Gujaan, Jalandhar, Punjab. As per the information,  all the goods in the warehouse were burnt to ashes. This incident happened on Tuesday late night around 11:30. The fire brigade team reached the spot and controlled the fire. At present, the cause of the fire is being told to be a short circuit. Due to the leather goods, the fire kept spreading and all the goods were burnt to ashes.

The police party of Police Station Basti Bawa Khel also reached the spot for investigation. Action will be taken in the matter soon based on the report of the fire brigade. According to eyewitnesses, when suddenly black smoke started rising from the factory area in the locality, the locality immediately gathered. Late at night around 11:30, it was found that the fire broke out in the warehouse where sports goods were kept. The short circuit happened at the same place where the burning goods were kept. Due to which such a big fire broke out.

Five migrant families including children were living in the rooms built inside the factory. With the help of people, the family members were taken out. Thankfully, there was no loss of life in the incident. The fire brigade teams also took out three gas cylinders.
