Fire breaks out at utensils shop in Jagraon

On receiving information about the matter, fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and controlled the fire.

A massive fire broke out at Jindal Bartan Store located in the main market of Mullapur in Jagraon, Ludhiana district, at around 7.30 pm on Thursday night. The generator was running in the shop due to power cut. Despite the generator running, the power suddenly went off. On receiving information about the matter, fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and controlled the fire.

The employee made noise after seeing the fire

According to the information, store owner Ram Niwas Jindal sent an employee to check the generator located on the third floor. As soon as the employee reached the second floor, he saw the fire and started making noise. Nearby shopkeepers immediately reached the spot. Social worker Davinder Nagar immediately informed the Municipal Council. Fire brigade vehicles from Mullapur and Jagraon reached the spot.

Shopkeepers busy assessing the damage

The fire was so fierce that the fire brigade vehicle of Mullapur had to fill water four times. After a lot of hard work, the fire was controlled. According to the shop owner, the fire has caused a lot of damage. Due to darkness, the actual loss will be assessed only the next morning. The goods kept on the second floor have been burnt to ashes.
