Amritsar: A huge fire broke out in a textile factory near Verka Chowk bypass in Amritsar. Goods worth lakhs of rupees were reduced to ashes due to the fire. So far it has been found that the main cause of the fire is a short circuit.
Actually, late at night someone suddenly saw flames coming out of the factory. The flames reached the boiler due to which there was an explosion. People immediately raised an alarm. The factory employees informed the fire department.
People raised an alarm after seeing smoke coming out
According to the information, there is a textile factory named Abhichal near Verka Chowk. Late at night people raised an alarm after seeing smoke coming out of the factory. Fortunately, there was no one inside the factory at the time of the fire. When the firemen started extinguishing the fire, it was found that the fire was in the oil boiler.
A lot of clothes were also damaged. About 4 to 6 fire brigade vehicles were engaged in extinguishing the fire. The fire officer said that the fire had reached the top of the factory. About 6 vehicles have reached the spot. Since it is a textile factory, the fire was continuously increasing but now it has been controlled.
Sub-Inspector Rakesh Kumar, who reached the spot, said that there was some technical fault in the Abhichal factory due to which a huge fire broke out in the textile factory. At present, there is no loss of life.
