Jalandhar: A fire in a private hotel in Jalandhar created panic. Seeing smoke coming out of the hotel, people informed the fire brigade about it. After which the fire was brought under control.
The incident took place at the Sangam Hotel near the bus stand. According to sources, this fire broke out due to a short circuit in the hotel. The fire spread in no time. Due to this fans, fridges, sofas, table chairs, electricity meters, and other items were burned to ashes.
Fire department officer Avnish Sondhi said that he was informed at around 10:30 in the morning that a fire had broken out in the hotel. After which the fire brigade reached in half an hour and started controlling the fire.
Two fire brigade vehicles reached the spot, and after a lot of hard work, they brought the fire under control. At present, nothing can be said about the damage. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
