Firing at furniture showroom in Amritsar: Employee injured, attack due to enmity with Canadian brother

The police are examining CCTV to identify the accused.

On Friday night, unknown bike riders opened fire on a furniture showroom in Amritsar. A showroom employee was injured in the incident. In the initial investigation, the incident is being linked to Canada. The police is currently engaged in identifying the people who fired the bullets. The police say that soon the accused will be traced and caught.

The incident took place at Gagan Furniture Showroom in East Mohan Nagar, Amritsar at around 9 pm on Friday night. Two unknown bike riders fired about 5 bullets at the showroom. Due to which the glass of the entire showroom broke. Shop owner Gagan informed that two bullets hit the employee working in his showroom. He was immediately rushed to the hospital after the incident. Now he is out of danger. But he does not have any enmity with anyone, nor has he received any threatening calls from anyone. He himself is surprised why he has been targeted.

ADCP IPS Jasroop Kaur Bath informed that when the police started the investigation, the incident was linked to Gagan’s brother who lives in Canada. Actually, Gagan’s brother has been settled in Canada for the last several years and he also has some personal rivalry there. Due to this rivalry, his brother Gagan’s showroom in Amritsar has been targeted by gangsters. At present, more in-depth investigation is going on in this case.

Police have started the investigation by registering FIR number 88 in East Mohan Nagar police station regarding the incident. The police are examining CCTV to identify the accused. Police says that the accused will be identified and caught soon.
