During the indiscriminate firing by unidentified persons at the Bharat Petroleum petrol pump located in village Kaler Mangat near Majitha late at night, one of the pump workers, Gautam, died after being shot in the chest, while the other workers, Amit and Arpan, were seriously injured.
According to the information, at around 8 o’clock at the petrol pump located in village Kaler Mangat on Majitha Kathunangal Road, some unidentified masked armed men came to the pump to fill the petrol, and the pump was closed. Due to which the pump workers refused to fill the petrol. On which the angry attackers started indiscriminate firing.
During this one person was shot in the chest in the firing, due to which he was seriously injured and died during treatment. The other two workers also sustained minor injuries. Gautam, a resident of UP, was shot in the chest and died on the way to the hospital. Both Amit and Arpan were injured in the gunshot. Both the culprits were residents of Himachal.
Meanwhile, DSP Majitha Amolak Singh and SHO of Police Station Majitha Prabhjit Singh and a police party reached the spot and took stock of the entire situation and took further action. Meanwhile, it is not yet clear whether there was any looting or any other damage to the pump.
