Following Pahalgam attack CM Bhagwant Mann calls high-level security meeting

All senior officials, including Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav, will be present in the meeting

After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has called a high-level security meeting today on 23 April. The meeting will be held at the CM’s residence at 11 am today. All senior officials, including Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav, will be present in the meeting.

In the meeting, emphasis will be laid on keeping the security system tight. After the meeting, the CM will meet the media at 11.30 am.

According to the information, this meeting is also important because Punjab shares its border with Pakistan as well as Jammu and Kashmir. At the same time, the distance of Pahalgam from Pathankot, where the terrorist attack took place, is 297 kilometers.

Secondly, there are many big military institutions, including an airbase station in Pathankot. In such a situation, the Punjab government is not in the mood to relax at all. At the same time, the police is working on whatever inputs are being received from central agencies and neighboring states. On the other hand, grenade attacks have been taking place on police related places in the border districts of Punjab for some time.

After the attack, there is an alert everywhere, including Punjab. Police and security agencies have tightened security in six border districts of the state. At the same time, the police are keeping an eye on all suspicious places so that no untoward incident takes place. However, some time ago, the police had even conducted a search to see suspicious people in Gurdaspur and Pathankot.
